PET is polyethylene terephthalate; PETG is polyethylene terephthalate -1, 4-cyclohexane dimethyl ester. Compared with PET, there are more 1, 4-cyclohexane dimethanol copolymers, so its performance has its own unique compared with PET.

PETG has higher transparency, better chemical resistance, better oil resistance and better weather resistance (yellowing) than PET. Therefore, the procurement cost of PETG is higher, 2-3 times that of PET. Because pet has more cost advantages, the domestic market of PETG is still relatively small.

PET is mainly used in the packaging of various beverage containers, such as Nongfu Spring water bottle and Coke bottle. PETG is used for a variety of permanent daily necessities, such as cosmetics bottles, perfume bottles, medicine packaging containers and so on.
