FAQ

Q: Why do tiny cracks appear on the tube after my lip gloss is filled into an AS tube?

A: Analysis: This is what the industry commonly refers to as a "chemical compatibility" issue. While AS material is aesthetically pleasing, it is sensitive to certain fragrances, essential oils, or volatile solvents (such as isododecane). These components can penetrate the gaps between plastic molecules, creating internal stress and causing cracking.

Solution: A material compatibility test must be conducted before mass production (usually by storing in a 45°C constant temperature chamber for 4 weeks).

If the formula contains a high amount of active ingredients, it is recommended to use a PP inner liner + ABS outer shell structure.

Q: Will the lip gloss tube leak? How can I determine the seal?

A: Analysis: Leakage usually occurs at the tightness of the cap or when the inner wiper doesn't fit tightly with the tube opening. Solution:  Vacuum test: Place the tube filled with the material into a vacuum drying oven, evacuate to -0.05 MPa and maintain for 5 minutes, observing for bubbles or overflow.

Check the material of the inner plug (usually LDPE or TPE). A high-quality inner plug should have a noticeable "damping feel" and be able to effectively scrape off excess material from the brush handle.

Q: Can ABS and AS material tubes directly contact the lip gloss?

A: Professional advice: AS: Can directly contact most common lip gloss formulas (provided they pass compatibility testing).

ABS: Absolutely not recommended for direct contact with the lip gloss. ABS has the worst chemical resistance; the lip gloss can easily corrode the plastic, causing discoloration, odor, or the release of harmful substances.

ABS is usually only used as an outer shell or cap.

Q: Will surface treatments (electroplating/painting) peel off over time?

A: Cause Analysis: Peeling is usually due to insufficient surface tension or material overflow corroding the coating.

Solution: Request the supplier to perform a cross-cut adhesion test (score a grid with a blade, then peel off with tape to see if paint peels off).

If it's ABS material being electroplated, confirm whether a UV protective layer has been applied, as this greatly improves abrasion resistance and sweat stain resistance.

Q: Why do brush bristles shed or apply product unevenly?

A: Analysis: Brush heads are typically made of flocked nylon fibers. Shedding is due to poor glue quality or an immature flocking process; uneven application is caused by issues with the brush head shape or the amount of product dispensed.
